Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way. Oh what fun it is to decorate our holiday tables during this time of year! This time of year is so merry and festive as our showrooms undergo a transformation of different table designs for the holidays.
And of course, we want to share some of these table designs and fun activities to make your holidays extra special this year.
Making your tables settings an activity
Here’s a fun activity for your entire dinner party. Place different ornaments on each table setting to decorate each one. Customize each ornament, for example, like choosing an artist paint easel for the artist in the group. Then all your guests need to guess which table setting is theirs before they get seated. This works really well as an ice-breaker, especially if you are gathering a bunch of people together that don’t know each other very well.
Then, after everyone has had a delicious meal, they can either take their ornament home as a gift, or go around the Christmas tree and hang their ornament up.
Centerpiece Idea
For an inexpensive centerpiece idea to decorate your table, you can rent a lily bowl or footed lily bowl (pictured) and fill it with colorful Christmas ball ornaments. Put a little tinsel around the bottom to make it even more festive.
You can also have each guest put a ball ornament on the tree after your meal.
Unique Holiday Linen Colors
If you want to do something different than the Christmas red and green this year, why not try these colors:
This square table is covered with our Taffeta Sage linen and accented with Taffeta Regal Eggpant napkins and table runners that were tied around Chiavari black chairs. Gold Centric Chargers and Gold Infinity China add to the festivities of this table setting.
This table setting was designed by Sharon Yap of Sharon Yap Design. The clear glass table gives a feeling of winter wonderland with Silver Hobnail chargers and Silver Band china table settings enhancing this winter theme. Sharon used Lamour Baja Turquoise napkins with accents of small fuchsia ball ornaments to make this winter table colorful and inviting. She then created a large centerpiece that continued the accents of turquoise and fuchsia with white branches that enhanced this winter wonderland theme. Beautiful!
Buffet Table Ideas
Lastly, here are some unique ideas to dress up your buffet table. Here, Lamour Scarlet and Lamour Forest Green napkins are folded into a rectangular and triangular shape to form a tree. Flatware pieces are put on top. This works for your table settings too.
A Lamour Gold runner is made into a bow and cinched around a cocktail table covered with a Crushed Iridescent Black Cherry linen.
A box is wrapped in Stars Silver on Black linen and is tied like a gift with a Lamour Scarlet runner to serve as a riser for a Round Silver Chafer.
We hope these ideas will help you in your planning and designing this holiday season. The Stuart Rental Company wishes you a wonderful holiday this year for you and your loved ones!
