If you’ve read our previous blog post, you would have seen the Lilies on the Pond table design using our Tivoli plates. Now, turn 180 degrees, and take a look at what our Event Specialist in our Castro Valley location designed with the same Tivoli plates.
Instead of setting these plates for a sit-down dinner, the Event Specialist decided to use the Tivoli plates on cocktail tables. Who would have thought that these plates could look so good for a cocktail event? But our event Specialist did a great job with the linen designs and table settings.
Our event specialist designed the cocktail tables with the same theme, but 3 different variations. She chose our Lamour Lime Green, Baja Turquoise, and Canary linens. She then used Lamour Black table runners and crisscrossed it down the middle to give the tables that “ultra lounge” feel.
Because of the Tivoli’s interesting and modern shape, our event specialist placed our Picasso square plates on top to continue this geometric table setting. The Baja Turquoise table setting had a very angular theme to it. Our event specialist first chose our triangular cocktail table. She then put white Picasso plates angled on top of black Picasso plates, angled over our Tivoli plates, giving this place setting a very intriguing look. She then paired it with our Soma glasses that fit this angular setting perfectly.
For the Lamour Lime Green tables, our event specialist got creative with our Lamour napkins. For one place setting, she used our Lamour Canary napkins and folded it over the length of our Tivoli plates. She then topped it with our black Picasso plates. For the other place setting, she used our Lamour Lime Green napkin and folded it over the black Picasso plate and cinched it with a jewel napkin ring. Both place settings look great.
Lastly, for her Lamour Canary cocktail table, she used the same table settings as the Lamour Lime Green one, but folded the napkins differently, which changes the look completely. This napkin fold was a looser and more relaxed look, but still fit the ultra lounge theme with its black and green rectangular napkin ring.
It’s so interesting to see how the same Tivoli plate can be used so differently for 2 completely different looks. How have you used the Tivoli plates?
