Being in the event industry is always so fun and interesting. You get to see all the different trends and color combinations that people are choosing. The latest hot trend we have been noticing for weddings is that Black is the new Brown. Well, that is not entirely true because brown is still very in. (I just used that title because I thought it was catchy. 🙂 Plus, we just showcased our new Organza Swirl Tiffany on Chocolate linens in our last 2 blogs. 🙂 )
We have been noticing that brides are not only using chocolate and pairing it with a color (pink, orange, tiffany blue, sage, etc), but a lot of brides are also choosing Black and White themed weddings. Keeping it just black and white or adding a splash of color can be very elegant and stunning.
If you’re thinking of having a Black and White wedding and don’t know where to begin, you have come to the right place. Our Milpitas Event Specialist decided to put together a black, white, and red wedding themed table to give you some ideas. She chose to do a long rectangular table, putting two 8’ banquet tables together to form a 16’ long table. She then draped both tables with Lamour Black linens. Two Lamour White Table Runners were placed down the center of the tables accentuating the length of the tables. Chiavari Black Chairs with black cushions lined either side of the tables.
To keep with this “square” look, she chose the Picasso plates in alternating black and white stacked on top of each other. The Moma flatware with it’s checkered square handle fit perfectly with this table setting. To top it off, she took a Lamour Scarlet napkin that was rolled to look like a rose, and placed it in our Sphere Martini glass. The martini glass was then then placed on top of the china with a Sphere shot glass accompanying it. She then alternated the napkins with Lamour Scarlet and Lamour White.
Lastly, red candles on silver candlesticks, red roses in small silver containers, and red rose petals scattered down the middle were used to tie in the red to complete this table design.
Here are some other suggestions to continue your Black, White and Red wedding theme. You can use a Black and White dance floor that will match perfectly with your table design.
For your favors, you can have a candy station with only red, black, and white candy in glass jars and have your guests fill their own candy containers. Choose a white cake with black swirls and have rose petals scattered on it. The cake table can be decorated with Lamour or Crushed Iridescent Black, White, and Scarlet linens as well. The options are endless. We hope this gives you a good starting point for your own Black and White themed wedding. We’d love to see what you come up with. Please send us your designs and, if you would like, you can include a brief description of your event so that we can share them with others.
