Themed parties are always a lot of fun, especially if the theme is a tea party. Tea parties are a great way to honor the women in your life on special occasions such as Mother’s Day, bridal showers, birthdays, etc. But, of course you don’t always need to have a special occasion to just gather your closest girlfriends to dine and sip tea together as you enjoy each other’s company.
We wanted to share with you these 2 tea party ideas, which are completely different, yet both wonderfully designed.
Cupcake Tea Party
This table setting not only had a tea party theme, but it also had a cupcake theme! Pale pink, violet, and ivory party rentals and cupcakes decorated the table while white and yellow flowers in a Silver Tabletop Champagne Cooler served as the central centerpiece.
An Organza French Lavender sash tied into a bow flowed around the centerpiece to soften the 2 runners placed down the length of the tables.
Each guest had a cupcake with pink or purple sprinkles placed on each Theresia china place setting. Theresia tea cups and saucers were also a must-have for this tea party.
And of course, you can’t just have one of these delicious cupcakes! More cupcakes were displayed on the 3-tiered silver trays that served not only to hold the cupcakes, but also as visually yummy centerpieces.

Alice in Wonderland
Now, follow me down the rabbit hole as we enter into an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party idea for a bridal shower.
Mis-matched tea cups on checker board linens set the tone for this fun party. Red spectrum double old-fashioned glasses, rose petals, and rolled-up alternating red and white napkins accent the table. A larger than life King of Hearts stands in the background.
Another idea for a table setting is to put the rolled up napkin inside the tea cup as regular sized playing cards inserted in 2” table number holders designate each place setting.
Which tea party do you prefer? Or maybe you have some creative ideas of your own. We would love to hear from you. Please leave us a comment!
