Congratulations to Mark and his beautiful bride, Ashanti!!  Just a few weeks ago, the Stuart family celebrated together at the wedding celebration of one of our own family members.  Our Milpitas location’s customer service manager, Mark, was recently married, and of course, The Stuart Rental Company provided all the wedding party rentals.

Their Story

Mark and Ashanti were childhood friends in grade school.  Mark always had a crush on Ashanti, so he was always happy to see her after school so that he could walk her to the bus stop.  This was the highlight of his day.  He couldn't wait for that moment where he can see her and talk to her as they headed towards the bus stop every day. 

After the school year ended, and summer break came around, Mark had to wait a whole summer before he ccould see Ashanti again.  So, when school started again, while all the other kids were dreading going back to school, Mark couldn't wait for it to start so that he could see Ashanti again.

But, on that first day back to school, he was in for a sad surprise.  Ashanti's family had moved and he had no way of contacting her.  He didn't think that he would see her again.  Fast forward many years later.  One day Mark was on MySpace and ran across her MySpace profile.  He couldn't believe that this was the same girl that he had a crush on since childhood.  So, he e-mailed her and they started talking through e-mail.  Then Mark finally got the courage to ask for her phone number and was elated when she gave it to him.  They started talking by phone for a couple of weeks until Mark finally got up the courage again, to finally ask her out for dinner.  Ashanti accepted and the rest is history.  

The Ceremony

Mark and Ashanti's ceremony took place at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, CA.  Their colors were gold, ivory, and chocolate with accents of red.  Our single brass aisle candelabras were placed every other pew and had an ivory bow tied to each one.  The other alternating pews hung beautiful ivory round flowers allowing the entrance to the altar to have altering heights of elegance.

The beautiful bride walked down the aisle on her father’s arm to the song “Beautiful”, written by Mark himself.  At the altar, the bride and groom said their vows with beautiful ivory flowers as the backdrop.  Our Stone Urn and Stone Columns were used for the 2 large flower arrangements.  Ivory flowers adorned our 7 Branch Adjustable Candelabra and our 3 Branch Trinity Candelabra.

The Reception

After witnessing the marriage of bride and groom, guests moved to Wedgewood Banquet Facility in San Ramon, CA to continue the celebrations.  Stuart Rentals brought in Lamour Gold linens for the dining tables and head tables.  Walnut Chiavari Chairs with Lamour Gold Sashes continued the wedding’s theme colors.  Finally, Gold Lacquer Chargers with Lamour Chocolate napkins were placed on the tables to complete the look.  Red rose petals and red and white flower arrangements accented each table.

Lamour gold pipe and drape served as the backdrop to the 2-tiered head table.  Flowers from the ceremony were placed on the head table with accents of red rose petals in between. 

The wedding ceremony and reception was absolutely beautiful.  And this time, it was our turn to dance the night away.
