2010 Hottest Event Design Trends

Feb 24, 2010

It’s the start of a new year and many people are getting ready for their big event that will take place this year.  We have had many customers come through our showrooms and mix and match our linens and party rentals to create the perfect table setting.

So far, we have seen quite a few different trends that we think are going to be hot this year, but we narrowed them down to the top 4 for you:

1. Turquoise and Bold Colors

Turquoise is Pantone’s color of the year.  Many events are using turquoise as either their main color or accent color and pairing it with a color that is equally bold (like fuchsia or orange).  Other events are using neutral colors like chocolate brown with turquoise for a more classic look.

2. Vintage

Vintage is making a comeback, and it's better than ever.  Many brides are going for the lace and vintage overlays for that antique-classic look.  One bride had a display table that showed off her bridal veil and the many brides in her family that have used it before it was passed down to her.

3. Purple

Purple has always been a popular color and continues to be popular in 2010.  Whether it is a dark eggplant, plums, Victorian lilacs or a soft lavender, this color will continue to be seen in many events for this year.

4. White and Ivory

White and Ivory continue to be very popular for weddings this year.  Black and white weddings are still growing in popularity.  Weddings with all white or all ivory, sometimes with a dash of color, are still very classy.

We hope these ideas will give you inspiration as you are planning your event.  It is always a great idea to set up a mock version of your table so that you can see what it would look like the day of your event.  Your are always welcome to come visit any of our 3 Bay Area, CA showrooms in Milpitas, Mountain View, and Castro Valley.
